जगज्जालपालं चलत्कण्ठमालं
शरच्चन्द्रभालं महादैत्यकालम्।
नभोनीलकायं दुरावारमायं
सुपद्मासहायं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम्॥१॥

jagajjālapālaṃ calatkaṇṭhamālaṃ
śaraccandrabhālaṃ mahādaityakālam।
nabhonīlakāyaṃ durāvāramāyaṃ
supadmāsahāyaṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'ham॥1॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो जगत-जाल के रक्षक हैं, जिनके गले में चलती हुई माला है, जिनका माथा शरद-चंद्रमा के समान उज्ज्वल है, जो भयानक दैत्यों के काल हैं, जिनके पास नीले-आकाश वाली काया (शरीर) है, जिनके माया (भ्रम) अजेय हैं, और जो पत्नी पद्मा के साथ हैं। मैं उसका प्रशंसक हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is the world-net protector, Who has a moving garland at throat, Who has a forehead radiant-like the autumn-moon, Who is the end for dreadful demons, Who has a blue-sky like body, Whose Māyā (illusions) are invincible, and Who is with the consort Padmā. I adore Him.

सदाम्भोधिवासं गलत्पुष्हासं
जगत्सन्निवासं शतादित्यभासम्।
गदाचक्रशस्त्रं लसत्पीतवस्त्रं
हसच्चारुवक्रं भजेहं भजेहं॥२॥

sadāmbhodhivāsaṃ galatpuṣhāsaṃ
jagatsannivāsaṃ śatādityabhāsam।
gadācakraśastraṃ lasatpītavastraṃ
hasaccāruvakraṃ bhajehaṃ bhajehaṃ॥2॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो सदैव समुद्र (छीरसागर) में वास करते हैं, जिनके दांत सफेद फूल हैं, जो दुनिया में सही के साथ रहते हैं, जो सौ सूर्यों की तरह उज्ज्वल हैं, जो गदा और चक्र शस्त्र के रूप में धारण किए हैं, जो चमकीले पीले वस्त्र धारण किए हैं, और जिसका सुन्दर मुख प्रफुल्लित है। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is always living in the ocean (Kṣīrasāgara), Who has white teeth like trickling [white] flowers, Who stays with the good in the world, Who is radiant like hundred suns, Who has a mace and a cakra as weapons, Who has shining yellow clothes, and Whose beautiful face is smiling. I adore Him.

रमाकण्ठहारं श्रुतिव्रातसारं
जलान्तर्विहारं धराभारहारं।
चिदानन्दरूपं मनोज्ञस्वरूपं
ध्रुतानेकरूपं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥३॥

ramākaṇṭhahāraṃ śrutivrātasāraṃ
jalāntarvihāraṃ dharābhārahāraṃ।
cidānandarūpaṃ manojñasvarūpaṃ
dhrutānekarūpaṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥3॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो राम के कंठ के लिए रमणीय हैं, जो श्रुति-झुंड (ग्रंथों) का सार हैं, जिनके पास विहार/खेल के मैदान के रूप में आकाश (ब्रह्मांड) है, जो पृथ्वी के भार को वहन करते हैं, जो विचार और आनंद है, जिसका रूप मनभावन है, और जिंहोंने दुनिया की रक्षा के लिए अनेक रूप धारण किए हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is delightful for the throat of Ramā, Who is the essence of śruti-flock (treatises), Who has the ether (universe) as a playground, Who absolves weight of the earth, Who is thought and joy, Whose form is mind-pleasing, and Who has taken many forms. I adore Him.

जराजन्महीनं परानन्दपीनं
समाधानलीनं सदैवानवीनं।
जगज्जन्महेतुं सुरानीककेतुं
त्रिलोकैकसेतुं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥४॥

jarājanmahīnaṃ parānandapīnaṃ
samādhānalīnaṃ sadaivānavīnaṃ।
jagajjanmahetuṃ surānīkaketuṃ
trilokaikasetuṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥4॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो वृद्धावस्था और जन्म से मुक्त हैं, जो शाश्वत आनंद से भरे हुए हैं, जिन्होंने अपने मन को आत्मा (स्व) के वास्तविक स्वरूप में स्थिर कर दिया है, जो हमेशा नया है, जो जगत् का जन्म करते हैं, देवता की सेना के रक्षक हैं, और तीनों लोकों के लिए सेतु हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is free of old-age and birth, Who is filled with supreme-bliss (eternal bliss), Who has His mind fixed in the true nature of the spirit (Self), Who is always new, Who is for the birth of the world, Who is the shining-star of demi-god's army, and Who is the bridge (support) for the three-worlds. I adore Him.

कृताम्नायगानं खगाधीशयानं
विमुक्तेर्निदानं हरारातिमानं।
स्वभक्तानुकूलं जगद्व्रुक्षमूलं
निरस्तार्तशूलं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥५॥

kṛtāmnāyagānaṃ khagādhīśayānaṃ
vimukternidānaṃ harārātimānaṃ।
svabhaktānukūlaṃ jagadvrukṣamūlaṃ
nirastārtaśūlaṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥5॥

मैं श्रीहरि को पूजता हूँ जिन्हें आम्नय (वेद) ने गाया है, जिनके वाहन पक्षियों का राजा गरुड़ हैं, जो मुक्ति का प्राथमिक कारण है, जो शत्रुओं के अभिमान को हर लेते हैं, जो अपने भक्त के अनुकूल हैं, जो जगत के वृक्ष का मूल हैं, और जीवन के समस्त दुखों को दूर करने वाले हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is sung by the Āmnāya (Veda), Who has king of birds as a vehicle, Who is the primary cause of liberation, Who removes the pride of enemies, Who is favorable to His devotee, Who is the root of the tree-like world, and Who expels the thorn-like pain of life. I adore Him.

समस्तामरेशं द्विरेफाभकेशं
जगद्विम्बलेशं ह्रुदाकाशदेशं।
सदा दिव्यदेहं विमुक्ताखिलेहं
सुवैकुण्ठगेहं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥६॥

samastāmareśaṃ dvirephābhakeśaṃ
jagadvimbaleśaṃ hrudākāśadeśaṃ।
sadā divyadehaṃ vimuktākhilehaṃ
suvaikuṇṭhagehaṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥6॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो सभी अमरों के भगवान हैं, जिनके बालों में भौंरा रंग है, जो गोलाकार-जगत का अणु हैं, जिनकी आत्मा आकाश (सर्वव्यापी) है, जिनका शरीर हमेशा दिव्य है, जो इस दुनिया में सब कुछ से मुक्त है, और जो वैकुण्ठ में रहते हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is the Lord of all immortals, Whose hairs have bumble-bee color, Who is the smallest (atomic) part of spherical-world, Whose soul is like the sky (all-pervading), Whose body is always divine, Who is free of everything in this world, and Who resides in Vaikuṇṭha. I adore Him.

सुरलिबलिसुरालिबलिष्ठं त्रिलोकीवरिष्ठं
गुरूणां गरिष्ठं स्वरूपैकनिष्ठं।
सदा युद्धधीरं महावीरवीरं
महाम्भोधितीरं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥७॥

suralibalisurālibaliṣṭhaṃ trilokīvariṣṭhaṃ
gurūṇāṃ gariṣṭhaṃ svarūpaikaniṣṭhaṃ।
sadā yuddhadhīraṃ mahāvīravīraṃ
mahāmbhodhitīraṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥7॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जो सुर के शत्रुओं से अधिक शक्तिशाली हैं, जो त्रिलोक में श्रेष्ठ हैं, जो केवल एक रूप (परमात्मा या ब्राह्मण) में स्थित हैं, जो हमेशा युद्ध में स्थिर रहते हैं, जो महावीर से भी अधिक वीर हैं, और जो महान महासागर के तट पर स्थित हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who is more powerful than the enemies of Sura (Demi-gods), Who is superior to the superiors, Who is situated in only one form (of Paramātman or Brahman), Who is always steady in a battle, Who is more brave than the immense brave, and Who is situated at the bank of the great ocean. I adore Him.

रमावामभागं तलानग्रनागं
कृताधीनयागं गतारागरागं।
मुनीन्द्रैः सुगीतं सुरैः संपरीतं
गुणौधैरतीतं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं॥८॥

ramāvāmabhāgaṃ talānagranāgaṃ
kṛtādhīnayāgaṃ gatārāgarāgaṃ।
munīndraiḥ sugītaṃ suraiḥ saṃparītaṃ
guṇaudhairatītaṃ bhaje'haṃ bhaje'haṃ॥8॥

मैं श्रीहरि की पूजा करता हूँ जिनके बाईं ओर रमा हैं, जो नाग पर विराजमान हैं, जिन्हें यज्ञों से प्राप्त किया जा सकता है, जो रंगों/राग से मुक्त हैं, जो ऋषियों द्वारा गाया जाते हैं, जो अर्ध-देवताओं से घिरे हैं, और सद्गुणों से भी परे हैं। मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

I adore Śrīhari, Who has Ramā at the left side, Who has the head of a snake in front, Who can be approached by Yāga (doing Yajña), Who is beyond colors and passion, Who is sung by the sages, Who is surrounded by the demi-gods, and Who is beyond the group of qualities. I adore Him.

इदं यस्तु नित्यं समाधाय चित्तं
पठेदष्टकं कण्ठहारम् मुरारे:।
स विष्णोर्विशोकं ध्रुवं याति लोकं
जराजन्मशोकं पुनर्विन्दते नो॥९॥

(phalaśruti)
idaṃ yastu nityaṃ samādhāya cittaṃ
paṭhedaṣṭakaṃ kaṇṭhahāram murāre:।
sa viṣṇorviśokaṃ dhruvaṃ yāti lokaṃ
jarājanmaśokaṃ punarvindate no॥9॥

जो भक्त मन को इकट्ठा करके नियमित रूप से इन आठ श्लोकों का अध्ययन करता है – जो मुरारी की माला की तरह हैं – वह बिना किसी संदेह और दुख के विष्णु की दुनिया में चला जाता है, और वह फिर कभी बुढ़ापे या जन्म के दर्द में भाग नहीं लेता है।

Having concentrated mind, that who regularly chants these eight-verses — which are like the garland of Murāri — he goes to the world of Viṣṇu, without doubt and sorrows, and He never again partakes the pain of old-age or birth.
